Abstract: Combining commercial low-cost ECG electrodes with custom mini@sic electronic circuits, a compact system can be developed to perform both ECG and bioimpedance measurements. This paper introduces a novel real-time compact system for ECG and bioimpedance acquisition based on a recently de-veloped versatile low-power mixed-signal sensor interface, eliminating the need for complex acquisition and signal processing algorithms. Experimental tests were conducted on a prototype to assess its ability to measure biomedical signals. Comparison with commercial devices pave the way for using this system in eco-nomic portable biomedical system.
