We present a proposal for a unified configuration (and status) memory space for SpaceFibre devices that simplifies the management of complex networks and allows automatic node discovery. Aside from mapping all SpaceFibre port status and configuration parameters as specified in the SpaceFibre standard to corresponding registers, it also contains parameters for routing switches that we believe are important to be standardized as well. In addition, definitions of broadcast status messages are proposed, which can automatically be generated and transmitted by routing switches in case of failures or anomalies within the network.
